Caseload under 200, 11 new cases detected

Imphal, December 17 2021:
The state on Friday reported zero death case and only 11 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 1403 samples tested, registering a positivity rateof 0.78 per cent against 1.22 per cent recorded on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the active caseload fell below 200 as 18 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours and at the same time the government authority updated 109 already recovered cases which were pending for update.
There is no updated information on bed availability in different hospitals and Covid care facilities.
Out of the 16 districts, only four reported fresh Covid cases on Friday with Imphal West recording highest cases at 6.So far, the state has recorded 96,197 positive cases and 1619 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 392 new positive cases and 16 fatalities out of which 119 new cases and 6 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, all the 11 new positive cases (5 male & 6 female) are from among the general population and their samples were confirmed at RIMS (1) and other testing centres (10) .
The positive cases are from Imphal East (2), Imphal West (6), Thoubal (1) and Chandel (2) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,25,597 (general population - 1,21,164 and CAPF personnel - 4,433) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,23,406 (general population - 1,18,979 and CAPF personnel - 4,427) and number of active cases is 198 (general population - 197 and CAPF personnel - 1) .
The recovery rate is 98.26 percent.
A total of 260 D-type and 80 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Whereas, 4709 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals to 13,08,247 of which 9,49,602 have been fully vaccinated.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (44,073), Imphal East (27,891), Thoubal (9486), Churachandpur (10,190), Kangpokpi (2788), Tamenglong (3284), Bishnupur (9231), Senapati (2249), Ukhrul (2998), Kakching (6449), Chandel (2365), Noney (1075), Tengnoupal (1077), Jiribam (1022), Kamjong (955) and Pherzawl (464) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (666), Imphal East (479), Thoubal (178), Churachan-dpur (162), Kangpokpi (62), Tamenglong (14), Bishnupur (193), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (44), Kakching (115), Chandel (41), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 40,476 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,809 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 4,65,403 tests per million population against the national average of 4,72,589 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.59 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 1403 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 0.78 per cent per cent while the cumulative positivity came down to 8.70 per cent.
