TSL condemns violence against women & children

Imphal, November 17 2024: The Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL) has expressed shock and condemnation over the harrowing incident that took place on November 11, 2024, in Borobekra sub-division in Jiribam district, wherein displaced women and children were kidnapped from a relief camp and subjected to brutal acts of rape and murder.

According to a report published by Ukhrul Times, TSL described the act as "heinous and beastly" .

The organisation decried the unimaginable violence inflicted on defenceless children and women, emphasising that such crimes constitute crimes against humanity.

TSL called upon all women's organisations to unite in condemning these brutal killings and to advocate for the protection of women and children everywhere.

The Tangkhul Shanao Long reaffirmed its commitment to peace, urging collective action to ensure justice and safeguard vulnerable communities.
