Certificate course on 'Sustainable Natural Farming' concludes at CAU

Imphal, June 17 2026:
The three-month certificate course on "National Resource Management for Sustainable Natural Fanning", organised by the College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, concluded today at the College Conference Hall.
The course ran from March 17 to June 17, 2026.The valedictory programme was attended by Prof Indira Sarangthem, Nodal Officer, Centre of Natural Farming and coordinator NIRF & FDP, CAU; Prof N Brajendra Singh, Director of Instruction, CAU; and Prof K Nandini Devi, Dean, College of Agriculture, along with faculty and scientists of the college.
Certificates were awarded to 29 final-year BSc (Agriculture) students who completed the course.
Participants also received Certificates of Honour based on group presentations conducted as part of the training.
The course featured online and offline technical sessions with 18 experts from institutes across North East India and other States, including NAARM, Hyderabad; BHU, Varanasi; JNKW, Jabalpur; GBPUAT, Pantnagar; ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram; and CAU, Imphal.
Sessions covered microbial inoculants in organic and natural farming, conservation of native crops, natural farming in the NE region, organic certification, carbon farming, regenerative agriculture, economic perspectives and marketing strategies, and ancient practices of natural farming.
