Social Welfare Minister inspects Kanto Loukon

Social Welfare Minister and MLA of Sekmai Assembly Constituency Heikham Dingo Singh inspected Kanto Loukon in Leimakhong area today to ensure commencement of agricultural activities with the arrival of monsoon season.
The MLA was accompanied by local farmers, including Gurkha farmers of Kanto Sabal during the inspection of Kanto Loukon which covers around 40 pari or 40.47 hectares, said a release.
Most of Sekmai AC comes under the 'Red Zone', but agricultural works cannot be stopped.
Under the supervision of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, State and Central forces have been deployed in the area to undertake agricultural activities, said Heikham Dingo.
He also assured to deploy security forces in other croplands aside from Kanto Loukon in Sekmai AC so that farming activities can begin.
52 CRPF, Sikh Regiment, OC team of Sekmai PS and Kanto Sabal Village Development Committee (VDC) representatives also accompanied Minister Dingo on his visit.
The farmers extended their gratitude towards the Sekmai MLA and urged him to continue extending assistance to the people.
