COCOMI's protest sees participation of students in Thoubal

Thoubal, November 14 2024: Students from numerous schools in Thoubal district staged protest demonstrations in front of their respective schools and institutions as part of the protest organised by COCOMI Student Front against the abduction of six civilians from Jiribam.

Notably, students from Royal Academy, Wangjing Lamding; Little Angels' Paradise School, Wangbal; The Sophia English School, Okram Wangmataba, Thoubal, Paradise English School, Thoubal Okram; EGF School, Thoubal; Ananda Puma School of Sciences, Thoubal; New Era Higher Secondary School, Thoubal; Shinleima Vocational Education & Training Institute, Thoubal; Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Ukhongshang Thoubal and Little Star English Higher Secondary School among others formed human chains in protest in front of their educational institutions from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

The student protestors held placards with messages such as "State and Central Government must secure the release of innocent students and civilians immediately", "We condemn the silence of the administration", "Release the innocent civilians", "Don't harm innocent people" and "We want peace" among others.
