Chandel/Ukhrul/Kamjong, October 14 2026:
Assam Rifles expanded its comprehensive outreach under Special Campaign 6.0, executing rigorous workplace cleanliness, administrative housekeeping and large-scale community sanitation drives across various districts in Manipur.
At Sajik Tampak, Chandel, personnel undertook cleanliness drives to clear waste and improve the upkeep of establishment premises and surrounding areas.
This environmental upkeep was paired with administrative housekeeping as branches reviewed physical records, identifying old files for weeding out and disposal in accordance with prescribed procedures to optimize office space and streamline official documentation, said a press release by Assam Rifles.
Demonstrating exemplary multi-agency cooperation and public participation in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, Special Campaign 6.0 was conducted on October 13 at Shangshak and Company Operating Bases including Wanglee, Kasong, Kasom Khullen, Sorde, Gamnoum and Shakpao.
A total of 495 participants comprising personnel, residents and school students alongside senior Assam Rifles and Manipur Police personnel joined hands to clean adjoining markets, public spaces and schools.
Special youth-centric activities featured student cleanliness drives at a school near Sorde and an engaging event at Assam Rifles Public School in Shangshak that combined campus cleaning with a drawing competition on environmental protection.
