Imphal, July 13 2026:
Candidates who appeared for the 2019 recruitment examination of the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) staged a protest meeting on Monday, demanding immediate declaration of results.
The protest meeting was organised by the All Manipur MSPDCL and MSPCL Exam Completed Candidates 2019 (JAC) at the Community Hall, Keishamthong Leimajam Leikai.
Speaking at the meeting, JAC convenor Anas Hussain said a total of 622 posts for MSPDCL and 285 posts for MSPCL were advertised in the 2019 recruitment exam.
He alleged that despite assurances from the then Chief Minister, Ministers and concerned authorities that the recruitment process would be completed soon, and statements made during Assembly sessions, the process has been kept pending for a long time.
Later, the posts were cancelled without valid reason.
The JAC has also submitted multiple memoranda to the new Government and set a deadline of June 30 for assurance on declaring the results, but received no response.
The convenor warned that if the cancellation order is not revoked and the pending results are not declared at the earliest, the JAC will launch intense agitations.
The planned protests include shutting down department offices, taking out rallies, staging a sit-in at the Chief Minister's bungalow, and imposing bandh and general strike.
