E Jamson Singh wins debate on Manipur crisis

Thoubal, August 11 2024:
As many as 32 competitors took part in the Thoubal district level open debating competition held at Khangabok Awang Leikai Community Hall today.
The debate competition on the topic "Only the Manipur Government can resolve the current unrest" was organised by the Khangabok Development Society (KDS) .
Elangbam Jamson Singh of Heirok Development Club won the competition.
He spoke against the motion and argued that only the Government can't bring a solution to the unrest.
Wisdom Foundation, Khangabok's Kerish Devi, who also spoke against the motion, was placed in the second position.
Ahongsangbam Anjubala Devi of Wisdom Foundation, Khangabok, also spoke against the motion and was adjudged the third position.
Chinglemba Khundrakpam of Tentha High School who spoke in favour of the motion and Albi Laishram, who spoke against the motion, were given consolation prizes.
Senior journalist Ahongsangbam Mobi attended the competition as the Speaker.
The juries of the competition included MU's Law Department's Assistant Professor Dr Sapam Dilipkumar, Debaters Union of Manipur president Thongam Zingo and Tentha High School's Assistant Teacher Khundrakpam Ranjit.
Wisdom Foundation Khangabok Principal Laishram Subha, Smart Security Service's secretary Laimujam Pratap and New Era Higher Secondary School, Thoubal Vice Principal Moirangthem Ashok among others attended the event.
