GPRN writes to Chief Engineer PWD

Ukhrul, April 11 2025: The PMO Office, Ukhrul GPRN has written to the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, Government of Manipur requesting him to issue strict instructions to all concerned to avoid giving work orders below the scheduled rates quoted in the tendered work.

This is in connection with the work orders regarding "Construction of Rigid Pavement of Thin White Topping in Ukhrul and Kamjong district Hq roads" which are reportedly being considered for issuance at rates below the approved scheduled rates (SOR).

According to the letter, "no recommendation of work order below the actual rate quoted in the tendered work should be given out within Nagalim" as per a directive from the competent authority of GPRN.

The letter further urged to recommend the work order to only those who bid according to the schedule rate to help maintain the quality standards and ensure transparency in the execution of works.
