Imphal, October 06 2024: A "3-Day Festival of Raas Leela" organised by the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal, began today at Ram Mandir Campus, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

The festival was organised in collaboration with Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Cultural Foundation, Thouda Bhabok Leikai to commemorate the 226th Death Anniversary of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra, said a release.

The inaugural function was graced by Lakshman Prashad Acharya, Governor of Manipur and Chairman of JNMDA; Champat Rai, Secretary, Shri Ram Janam Bhumi Trust, Ayodhya and Raju Das, Secretary, Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi as presidium members.

Gurus, artists and students of JNMDA presented Nata Sankirtana and Maha Raas during the function.

Notably, the festival will be held at Vrindavan on October 8 and Radha Kund on October 9 .
