Assam Rifles honors educators with cultural unity and youth empowerment across Manipur

Assam Rifles celebrated Teachers' Day 2025 with vibrant enthusiasm and wholehearted celebration of role of the teachers across Chandel, Churachandpur, and remote border villages of Manipur, reaffirming its enduring role as both the "Sentinels of the North East" and a compassionate catalyst for educational and social upliftment.
The commemorations unfolded across multiple venues including Little Pearls School in Chakpikarong, Mission School in Dingpi Khangbarol, and schools in Sehlon, Aibol Joupi, Tuitong, Kovang, Old Samtal, and New Samtal in Chandel District.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the theme "A Day with the Company Commander" at Little Pearls School sparked spirited interaction between students and troops, where children expressed heartfelt gratitude through dances, songs, and cultural showcases.
The atmosphere brimmed with joy and mutual respect, strengthening the emotional bond between the youth and the security forces.
At Mission School, Dingpi Khangbarol, students honoured their mentors with lively performances, while Assam Rifles personnel felicitated teachers and rewarded young talents - underscoring education as the cornerstone of progress in remote regions.
In the border villages, the celebrations took on a vibrant hue with cultural displays, a motivational film on Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, and a spirited volleyball match between Riflewomen and teachers.
Awareness rallies and poster campaigns added depth to the occasion, highlighting the transformative role of educators in nation-building.
A community lunch was joined by over 435 villagers, symbolised unity and collective spirit.
In Churachandpur District, Assam Rifles celebrated Teachers' Day at Singheu and L Alpha village JB School, where troops joined students and staff in a day marked by cultural performances, motivational interactions, and goodwill gestures.
The Company Commander spoke on the significance of education in shaping character and careers, while also advocating for women empowerment and a united stand against drug abuse.
Stationery items were distributed to support the students, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks that echoed the shared commitment to peace, development, and educational growth.
Across all venues, Rifles personnel participated in the celebrations, embodying the force's dedication to nurturing youth, honouring educators, and fortifying bonds with the communities of Manipur.
The events radiated joy, gratitude, and inspiration - reinforcing Assam Rifles' legacy of service beyond the call of duty.
