Imphal, June 06 2009: The KCP (MC) Lallumba group which has entered into the "peace and friendship agreement" called Suspension of Operations (SoO) with the Government of India and the state government has set its 14 point agenda for the negotiated settlement which is likely to be signed in near future.

Nowhere in the agenda is mentioned a single word about restoration of independence and sovereignty of Manipur of which cause the faction had earlier purportedly fought for.

A press release signed by Lallumba, president of the faction and delivered by a team of AR personnel at the office of the press this evening stated that the KCP (MC) Lallumba group would like to tell about the agenda for which it was fighting and will continue to work in future for the people of Manipur.

The major points of the agenda are: (a) to provide safe and secure environment for all people living in Manipur.

(b) To struggle for better education and infrastructure facilities for people.

(c) To struggle for the economic development of the state by ensuring/providing safe atmosphere to industries and outsiders who are investing their money in the state.

(d) To fight and expose corruption from grass root level to top level.

(e) To fight for roads, water supply, electricity and better medical facilities.

(f) To fight against deforestation and encourage plantation of trees as Manipur is losing its natural resource and jungles at rapid rate.

The group will take up plantation drive in the state.

(g) To oppose those individuals/UG groups who are killing/harming non-Manipuri workers and businessmen because of which the whole state is getting bad image and is also hampering economic development of the state.

(h) To help state Govt.in running and developing public beneficiary schemes like PDS, NREGS, PGSY, primary education and health schemes, etc.

(i) To work against extortion, smuggling and other illegal activities which are spoiling present and future generations as well.

(j) Provision of safe and secure environment to all the businessmen and contractors who are generating employment and money for state.

Provide support to those businessmen and contractors who utilize resources, infrastructure and material from the state.

(k) To oppose all the factions who give threats to businessmen and contractors for their vested interests.

(l) The group will fight for free education for poor people, employment for the youth of Manipur.

(m) Scholarship for sportspersons from the state.

All state level sportspersons should be given suitable employment.

(n) Additional vacancies for Manipuri youth in Army and Police Forces.

The KCP (MC)Lallumba group will continue to work for safety, security and prosperity of all Manipuris.

So for the above mentioned points the group requires support and favour from people of Manipur, the press release stated.

Lallumba further informed that Yoiheiba Luwang is the present chief of Army of KCP (MC) and added that any press statement signed by Yoiheiba Luwang may be recognised as the party's press release.
