MIT to host NE India International Conference

The Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipur University, is set to host a three-day Northeast India International Conference on Innovation in Science and Technology from December 9 to 11, 2025, at the MIT-MU Campus in Imphal.
As per a release issued by Manipur University, the event aims to promote cutting-edge research, strengthen industryacademia partnerships, and explore sustainable, regionspecific technological solutions tailored to the unique geographical and infrastructural challenges of Northeast India.
Sponsored by the North Eastern Council, Shillong, the conference highlights the region's growing emergence as a hub for technological progress.
It seeks to create a platform where academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students can exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and collectively address both regional and global challenges.
Key thematic areas include disaster-resilient infrastructure, smart cities, artificial intelligence applications, and green energy solutions, reflecting the region's vulnerability to natural disasters and its high potential for renewable energy development.
The conference will span multiple disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
In addition to technical sessions and paper presentations, the hybrid-mode conference will feature keynote addresses by eminent scientists and industry leaders, as well as panel discussions on emerging technologies.
The event also aims to provide valuable networking opportunities for young researchers, fostering collaborations with experts from across India and abroad.
Selected research papers will be considered for publication in reputed Scopus-indexed journals.
