Health awareness programme held at RIMS

Imphal, August 04 2025:
The Department of Nursing, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a 1-Day Health Awareness Programme at the General OPD Complex, RIMS, Imphal today.
As per a release issued by RIMS, the initiative aimed to educate patients and their attendants on hospital rules, hygiene, Waste disposal, and respectful communication to enhance care and cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Imphal, emphasized the hospital's mission to serve the sick and highlighted the shared responsibility of staff and the public in maintaining cleanliness & ensuring quality care.
He also commended the Nursing Department for the initiative and encouraged attendees to follow hospital protocols for better outcomes.
The programme included talks on hospital rules by N Ibemhal, Chief Nursing Officer; demonstration on hand hygiene and waste disposal by Mutum Monica Chanu, Infection Control Nurse; and discussion on patient-healthcare worker relationships by Th Binodini Devi, Senior Nursing Officer.
The programme was attended by the Chief Nursing Officer, Nodal Officer SAP 2024-25/Kaya Kalp, nursing staff, and patients' attendants.
