CM fetes State Sub-Junior Sepaktakraw teams

Imphal, April 03 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand today felicitated the State Sub-Junior Boys and Girls Sepaktakraw teams at Secretariat following their impressive runs at the 28th National Sepaktakraw Championships hosted by Jharkhand in Ranchi.

Interacting with the young athletes, the Chief Minister sang praises of their exemplary skill, discipline, and teamwork coupled with remarkable physical agility and determination.

Their spirited performances stand as a proud testament to Manipur's rich sporting legacy, he said in a social media post following the felicitation programme.

He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the players, coaches, and support staff over their achievements and expressed hope that they will continue to scale greater heights and bring more laurels to the State and the Nation in the years to come.

In another social media post, the Chief Minister also said that the existing sports policy framework will be reviewed to ensure it fully supports and nurtures the potential of the State athletes.
