Kakching, January 03 2025: A one day awareness workshop program on "Co-operation among Cooperatives" was held today at Elangkhongpokpi Mamang Leikai Community hall organized by the District Cooperative office, Kakching.

The event was attended by Dr K Ibomcha Meitei, former director of Regional Institute of Cooperative Management as chief guest, Karam Dilipkumar Singh as president and Kh Tomba Singh, retired Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Kh Kalachand Singh, president, Kakching Khunou GP level MPCS Ltd as guests of honour.

Various speakers on the event highlighted the roles of cooperatives in developing a village and the welfare activities taken up by the Ministry of Cooperation.

Dr K Ibomcha stated that even though the revolution of cooperatives in Manipur began from the year 1939, it is not successful due to lack of awareness by the people.

He therefore urged the people to understand the benefits of cooperatives and work together to enhance the economy of Manipur.
