Imphal, July 02 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a high-level meeting today at Raj Bhavan and reviewed key urban initiatives including solid waste management, implementation of property tax, and GIS-based property tax systems in the State.

Commissioner, MAHUD, RK Dinesh Singh and other senior officials from Imphal Smart City Limited, Planning and Development Authority, MAHUD, and Deloitte presented updates on the progress of various development works.

They also highlighted challenges faced in executing these projects, according to a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.

The Governor emphasized the need for timely and effective implementation of these initiatives, particularly the importance of scientific waste management and transparent tax systems to strengthen governance.

He urged departments to work in coordination and launch awareness drives to ensure public participation.

The Chief Secretary and the Secretary to the Governor were also present at the meeting.
