Imphal, June 02 2025: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has announced that water supply will be suspended in areas served by the Porompat Water Treatment Plant, Rahmania, and Thambalkhong Water Supply due to the flood situation in Manipur.

An appeal issued by the Water Supply Maintenance Division II said that the areas where there will be no water supply include New Checkon, Nongmeibung, Tribal Colony, Khalabung Leirak, Soibam Leikai, Ayangpalli Road, Kongpal, Khurai Sajor Leikai, Thoudam Leikai, Thangjam Leikai, Tinsid Road, Tellipati, Wangkhei Khunou, Hatta, Rahmania, Top Khongnang Makhong, Thambalkhong etc .

Normal water supply will be resumed when the flood recedes, it said.
