Awareness / UDYAM registration drive held at Kakching

Kakching, December 01 2025: An awareness cum Udyam registration drive under the Raising and Accelerating of MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme of Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, was held today at Wabagai Panchayat Ghar, Kakching CD Block, Kakching district.

The programme was organised by District Industries Centre, Manipur under the supervision of District Administration Kakching.

The programme was graced by A Altias, Lead District Manager, Kakching district as chief guest, Soibam Nabakunja Singh, General Manager, District Industries Centre(DIC), Thoubal and Kakching district as president along with Mayanglambam Subashchandra Singh, Block Mission Manager, Kakching CD Block, Kakching district as guest of honour.

Oinam Deben Singh, Development Officer (DO), DIC Thoubal and Kakching district attended the programme as resource person.

A total of around 60 entrepreneurs were assisted during today's Udyam registration drive.

Among them, approximately 55 were women-led MSMEs and about 60 belonged to the OBC MSME .

Udyam Registration is a simple and online process for registering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) .

Without Udyam Registration, MSMEs risk missing out on important benefits such as government subsidies and incentives, protection against delayed payments, and tender preferences.
