Assam Rifles provides relief to flash-flood affected families

Churachandpur, August 01 2026: Demonstrating its commitment to community welfare alongside operational responsibilities, Assam Rifles provided swift relief support to families affected by heavy rainfall at Hingtam village in Churachandpur district.

According to IGAR (South), continuous rainfall in the area had adversely affected several households, causing hardship and disrupting the daily lives of residents.

Responding to the situation, Assam Rifles reached out to the affected families with essential relief supplies to alleviate their immediate needs.

Survival-oriented groceries along with milk and tinned food were distributed to 14 affected families to help meet their immediate food requirements.

The relief distribution was carried out in coordination with local village representatives to ensure that the assistance reached the affected families in a timely and organised manner.
