Assam Rifles, in partnership with Metro Zone Health Services Private Limited, organised a medical camp on 29 January 2026 at Beheng Village, Churachandpur, with the support of Emmanuel Hospital Association, Primary Health Centre (PHC) Singhat and Community Health Centre (CHC) Singhat.
According to IGAR(South), a combined team of doctors, nurses, medical staff, officials and troops worked together to provide free consultations, medical examinations and medicines to villagers.
The camp reached out to 424 patients, including 108 men, 104 women, 40 pregnant women and 172 children.
Special attention was given to maternal and child health, early detection of common illnesses and raising awareness about preventive care.
Sessions on hygiene and sanitation were also held to encourage healthier practices among families living along the Indo-Myanmar border, an interior region of Churachandpur district where access to medical facilities is limited.
The villagers welcomed the initiative with gratitude.
