Thoubal Taekwondo Academy marks 5th foundation day

Thoubal, December 31 2025: The Thoubal Taekwondo Academy, Khangabok, functioning under the Thoubal District Taekwondo Association, celebrated its 5th foundation day on Tuesday at Khangabok Part-II Multipurpose Community Hall.

The programme was attended by District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer Thoubal, National Awardee and Olympian Coach Moirangthem Deven; District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer, Kakching, Ng Sunita Chanu; District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer, Tengnoupal, P Subashchandra; Khangabok Zilla Parishad former member Khundrakpam Rajmohon; Thoubal District Taekwondo Association vice-president and Kakching District District Women Reserved Line Officer in-charge Khundrakpam Surjalata Devi; former Thoubal SP Shivananda Surve's wife Sneha Mishra Surve; Waikhong PS OC in-charge Dr Okram Jotin; Khangabok Pt-II GP chairperson Moirangthem Gopiramon Singh; and Thoubal Taekwondo Academy Khangabok advisor Khundrakpam Kumar Meitei, among others, who graced the occasion as presidium members.

As part of the celebration, a voluntary blood donation camp cum awareness programme was also conducted, jointly organised by the Thoubal Taekwondo Academy, Khangabok; Association of Voluntary Blood Donor Manipur, Thoubal branch; Awang Leikai VLF; Mangal VLF; Anouba Yening VLF; Yaifa Tengbang VLF; and Nungshinasi VLF; in collaboration with Blood Centre, District Hospital Thoubal; Manipur AIDs Control Society; State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur; and State Blood Cell, NHM Manipur.

A large number of voluntary donors, including both men and women, donated their blood during the camp.

Later, players of the Thoubal Taekwondo Academy, Khangabok, who have participated in various district, State and National-level competitions, were felicitated with simple gifts in recognition of their achievements and as encouragement for future endeavours.

A calendar of the Association of Voluntary Blood Donor, Manipur, Thoubal District Branch, was also released on the occasion.

The event concluded with a special taekwondo performance by the academy players, which enthralled the gathering.
