Free AYUSH health camp conducted at Teinem village

Ukhrul, August 30 2025:
The Weaker Community's Action for Development (WCAD) in collaboration with the Directorate of Ayush, Government of Manipur organised a free AYUSH health camp at CC Hall, Teinem Village under LM Block, Ukhrul district today.
The health camp sponsored by MLA Khashim Vashum of 45-Chingai AC and former Minister, was attended by a medical team of doctors, nurses, and paramedics from AYUSH, led by medical superintendent Dr Pamlei.
The team provided free consultations and distributed medicines to more than 200 beneficiaries.
Dr Pamlei informed that six medical stalls were opened for consultations and check-ups, including blood pressure monitoring and sugar testing.
He added that Ayushman Health Card registration was also carried out on the spot to ease the burden for rural residents.
Ngamreiwung Horam, chairman of WCAD, highlighted that the camp was part of the organisation's continuous efforts to assist rural communities in accessing healthcare and government welfare schemes.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Teinem village expressed gratitude to the Directorate of AYUSH; MLA Khasim and WCAD for organising the camp.
He also extended appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists for their dedication and contribution in making the programme a success.
