Rs 3 lakh reward announced for information on arms snatched from VDFs

Bishnupur, August 30 2024: All Manipur VDF Employees Welfare Association has announced a Rs 3 lakh reward to anyone who can provide information about the arms snatched from two VDF personnel posted at Awang Leikinthabi under Sekmai police station on August 27 .

Reacting strongly to the snatching of arms, the Association president, Laishram Deban also appealed for the snatched weapons to be returned at the earliest during a press conference held in Bishnupur.

Stating that there is no suspension for VDF personnel but direct termination, he highlighted the hardships faced by the VDFs in the ongoing conflict and appealed to the miscreants who snatched the weapons to either return them to the Association or to the relevant authority.
