Imphal, August 29 2024: Police arrested two alleged extortionists from Thangal Keithel yesterday, said a bulletin of Police Control Room (PCR) issued today.

As per the PCR, the two persons are cadres of proscribed outfit RPF/PLA and they have been identified as Kabrabam Inaobi (47) alias Johnson and Yengkhom Bhogen (50) .

The control room further said that the duo extorted money from shops located at Majorkhul areas.

From their possession, four mobile handsets, two wallets, two Aadhaar cards, Rs 7930 and one two wheeler vehicle.

Meanwhile, the PCR said that movement of 48 vehicles carrying essential items along National Highway-37 and another 89 vehicles along National Highway-2 were ensured in the last 24 hours.
