Miffed MR JCOs air grievances

Junior Commission Officers (JCOs) of Manipur Rifles have conveyed their grievances to Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, who is also in charge of Home, during the latter's visit to inspect the existing condition of Ist Manipur Rifles battalion here today.
Accompanied by DGP, the inspection visit of Gaikhangam has come about after the recent joint meeting with top police officials of the State where issues related to improving the policing system in the State was discussed.
Encouraged by the Home Minister and the DGP, the JCOs poured out their hearts over the various problems and issues being faced by them.
Particularly, the JCOs drew the attention of the Home Minister and the DGP over denial of promotion to long serving and deserving personnel; undue delay in releasing theirGeneral Provident Fund (GPF), meagre amount of the ration money given, providing uniform, that too without quality, only once in 7 years and the difficulties faced by the pensioners.
After listening to these complaints, the Home Minister was convinced that the higher officials of the Manipur Rifles are not performing their duties efficiently, one of the officials who accompanied the Home Minister disclosed to
