Kakching, August 28 2024: Labour cards issued by the Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board were distributed to 42 workers today.

The cards were handed over by Mayanglambam Binod, BJP intending candidate from Sugnu Assembly Constituency in the 2022 Manipur Legislative Assembly Election, during the ceremony organised by BJP Sugnu Mandal and held at his residence in Kakching Khunou Hijam Angom Leikai.

The event was attended by Mayanglambam Binod; Abujam Ibotombi, president, BJP Sugnu Mandal; general secretaries Kh Nando and N Ojit and executive members M Nabachandra and Kh Ibodhem as presidium members.

Speaking in this connection, Mayanglambam Binod said that today's ceremony marks the third installment of such labour card distribution to the workers and labourers in Sugnu Assembly Constituency.

As a part of the ceremony, a sum of Rs 200 each was distributed to 29 children seeking shelter at the relief camp set up at Mayanglambam Binod's residence.

This financial aid was sponsored by ZEO Kakching.

Additionally, an awareness programme was conducted regarding BJP's membership drive "Sadasyata Abhiyan" which is set to launch from September 2 .

Mayanglambam Binod also inspected the most floodhit areas under Sugnu AC including Tangjeng Khunjao and Khongyam.

Following this, he met with flood-affected families in the relief camps while extending necessary aid to them.
