Blessing ceremony held

Imphal, April 28 2026: A blessing ceremony for the tribute music video "Nachin Noupwa" was held today under the banner of Luwangshangbam Meira Paibi Apunba Lup.

The video is dedicated to the memory of two young children, a 5-year-old boy and a 6-month-old girl, who tragically lost their lives in a bomb explosion at Tronglaobi on April 7 .

Directed by Dharmen Laishram and produced by N Thoi Mangang, the video features lead actors Hamom Sadananda, Abenao, Hemabati, and Narendra Ningomba.

Vocals are by Sadananda Hamom and Pinky Saikhom, with lyrics by Narendra Ningomba.

At the ceremony, Narendra Ningomba said the song expresses the deep pain felt by society after the loss of the two tiny souls.

He added that music and film are vital mediums to inform the public and Government about critical issues.

Filmmaker Romi Meitei, who attended the event said such creative works reflect social reality.

In the absence of strong platforms, he noted, music videos help share community grief and foster collective healing.

The ceremony ended with prayers for the video to convey its message of peace and honour the children's memory.
