Lup observes 27th foundation day

Imphal, November 26 2024: All Manipur Tammi-Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup observed its 27th foundation day at Yambem Mohori Memorial Youth Club, Uripok today.

The ceremony was attended by Thokchom Ramani, president, All Manipur Social Reformation and Development Samaj; Yambem Momon Leima, president, All Manipur Tammi-Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup; Lourembam Nganbi Leima, president, Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup and YK Dhiren, president, United Committee Manipur (UCM) as the chief guest, president and guest of honour.

Meanwhile, MC Rita and L Jadumani were present as resource persons.

Addressing the gathering, YK Dhiren said that Manipur will face complete obliteration if a firm political resolution is not adopted at this juncture.

The inability of the State legislators to appeal to Central leaders to save the State of Manipur is unfortunate for its people, he said.

It is time for people across economic and social lines to unite and face the crisis head on, added the UCM president.

Meanwhile, Yambem ' Momon Leima strongly denounced the reimposition of AFSPA in six police station areas of the State.

She further opposed the demand for separate administration put forward by the Kukis and urged both the State and Central Government to book the culprits responsible for the heinous Jiribam killings.
