Imphal, September 26 2026: Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, New Delhi organised "Namami Bharatam", celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram at nine schools it runs in Manipur.

The observance was held at the Bal Vidya Mandirs at Palace Compound, Kongpal, Thoubal, Kakching, Pangaltabi, Ningthoukhong, Charhajare, Motbung and Kalapahar.

A total of 2,219 persons including teachers, students and invitees attended the celebrations.

The gatherings sang Vande Mataram at exactly 11 am, joining a Nationwide mass signing of the historic song.

Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Satyabharata Singh, MLA Dr Y Radheshyam Singh, MLA Dr Usham Deben, former MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, Vidya Bharati Manipur president Prof M Chourjit Singh and members of RSS attended the celebrations.
