Sinthangambi VLF celebrates 1st anniversary with CIF distribution

Moirang, July 26 2025: The Sinthangambi Village Level Federation of Thanga Salam Leikai supported by the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), celebrated its 1 st anniversary of its formation with a special event featuring the distribution of Community Investment Funds (CIF) to various Self Help Groups (SHGs).

The function was held under the theme of "Poverty Alleviation and Women's Empowerment", with Thanga AC MLA T Robindro Singh attending as the chief guest; Block Mission Management Union Bishnupur CD Block, Cluster Co-ordinator Salam Bikram as functional president and Upadhyaksha Bishnupur, Ningthoujam Dinesh; president SYCO Club Ningthoujam Bheigyachandra and other renowned key figures as guests of honour.

As part of the celebration, achievers from the area were felicitated.

Notably, Pukhrambam Joyshree Devi, and Salam Malem were awarded Rs 5000 each by MLA T Robindro Singh for their outstanding gold medal victories in the 28 kg and 32kg weight categories at the 7th National Kungfu Championship 2022 .

Later, in recognition of its performance, Linthoingambi SHG was declared the Best SHG under the federation and was honoured during the event.

A total of Rs 21 lakh was also distributed to 40 members of 13 Self Help Groups under the Federation as part of the Community Investment Fund (CIF) initiative.

In addition, MLA T Robindro also extended financial support of Rs 1 lakh as Vulnerable Fund to the federation's president and members.
