Free health camp held at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, September 25 2024:
A one-day free health camp was held at TYK Community Hall, Ukhrul for the residents of Tangrei under the aegis of District Health Society, Ukhrul.
The health camp was conducted by a team of the Ukhrul CMO's medical staff led by Dr Sunita, MO, with nurse Maitonphy and pharmacist Themchuila.
In addition to free medical consultations, free medicines were distributed to over 100 patients.
The medical team distributed ORS, calcium, vitamins and iron tablets and other medications.
According to Dr Sunita, some common ailments detected among the patients include gastritis, allergies and respiratory disease while most of the elderly persons complained of giddiness/light-headedness.
Simultaneously, the CMHT and PMJAY staff of Ukhrul District Hospital conducted free health card registration for the villagers.
Over 140 villagers received health cards.
Meanwhile Ngahorso Ragui, joint secretary of Tangrei locality extended gratitude to the CMO, Ukhrul Dr Kapangring and his team for conducting the free medical camp as well as health card registration for the residents of Tangrei.
Notably, District Implementation Unit, Ukhrul organised the camp.
