Imphal West DC forms Sub-Committees to screen Gram Panchayat applicants

Imphal, February 25 2026: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West District, has officially constituted four sub-committees to screen applicants for the appointment of Administrative Committee Members and Chairpersons for various Gram Panchayats within the district.

The order, issued today, builds on a prior notice from February 16 and covers 327 wards in four CD Blocks: Imphal West-I (Haorangsabal), Patsoi, Hiyangthang, and Imphal West-II (Wangoi).

Screening will occur on February 27 and 28, from 10 am to 5 pm, continuing to the second day if needed.

Each sub-committee includes the respective Block Development Officer (BDO), Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) .

Screening Venues

Imphal West-I (Haorangsabal): BDO Office, Imphal West-I CD Block, Lamphelpat, DC Office Complex.

Patsoi: BDO Office, Patsoi CD Block, Lamphelpat, DC Office Complex.

Hiyangthang: Chief Executive Officer Office, Lamphelpat, DC Office Complex.

Imphal West-II (Wangoi): Kombirei Hall, Lamphelpat, DC Office Complex.

Furthermore, a District Level Committee has been established to examine the proposals put forth by these sub-committees.

This high-level committee is chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, with the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, serving as a member, and all BDOs of the Imphal West District acting as members.

All sub-committees will operate under the direct supervision and control of this newly formed District Level Committee.

All applicants have been directed to appear before the Screening Committee as per the official schedule.
