Assam Rifles conducts medical camps

In a continued effort to foster health and harmony in Manipur, the Assam Rifles conducted comprehensive medical camps in Sora (Kakching District) and Tengnoupal District.
These initiatives, executed in collaboration with the Indian.
Medical Association (IMA).
aimed to address critical healthcare gaps in remote and conflict-affected regions of the state, said a release issued by IGAR (S).
The medical camp at Sora, themed "Promoting Peace and Health for All Communities in Manipur," featured the participation of 10 specialist doctors from various fields, including General Medicine, Pediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, and Gynecology.
Approximately 2,400 individuals, including residents from the Kalyan Ashram Relief Camp, benefited from free consultations, treatments, and health awareness sessions.
The camp focused on delivering essential healthcare services while promoting communal harmony amidst challenging circumstances, said the IGAR (S).
Participants expressed deep gratitude for the access to specialized care that is often unavailable due to logistical and financial barriers.
This initiative not only addressed immediate medical needs but also fostered trust and goodwill among the local populace, added the IGAR (S).
Simultaneously, under Operation Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles organized a similar camp in Tengnoupal District.
This initiative featured 11 specialist doctors from IMA and catered to over 1,000 villagers, including women, children, and the elderly, added the IGAR (S).
Special emphasis was placed on antenatal care, pediatric health, and preventive measures.
IGAR (S) continued that the camp provided vital healthcare assistance to residents of remote hill areas, particularly significant in light of recent communal unrest in the region.
It served as a beacon of hope, ensuring equitable access to medical services for marginalized communities, asserted the IGAR (S).
As the "Sentinels of the Northeast," the Assam Rifles will continue to extend its commitment beyond security operations by bridging divides and building trust through such outreach programs.
