Imphal, September 24 2024: The Youth Front of WMC Manipur State Unit has strongly condemned FIR filed against Heigrujam Nabashyam, chairman of WMC filed by Konjengbam Ratan, "a terminated member of WMC".

"Heigrujam Nabashyam has dedicated himself tirelessly to the Council and our community, championing the cause of the Meetei people and advocating for the Scheduled Tribe status for our community.

We view this FIR as an unfounded attack on a committed leader, and we believe that individuals acting against him may have vested interests that do not align with the welfare of the Meetei people," said the Youth Front WMC Manipur State Unit in a statement.
