10 Bn BSF conducts awareness lecture on beekeeping

Imphal, February 24 2025: The 10 Bn BSF, Loktak as part of their Civic Action Programme, 2024-25 conducted an awareness lecture on beekeeping today at 10 Bn BSF, TAC HQ Loktak, highlighting the benefits and process of beekeeping for livelihood and environmental sustainability.

During the programme, Nirapjeet Singh Boparai, Commandant addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of beekeeping in boosting local economy, enhancing agricultural productivity, and promoting ecological balance in presence of Praveen Kumar, 21C (Ops) of 10 Bn BSF, L Akhoup, village advisor of Lowe Kom Keirap village and Y Ibomcha Singh, said a release issued by the PRO, 10 Bn BSF .

At the event, Y Ibomcha Singh and L Akhoup, expert in apiculture, provided indepth knowledge about modem beekeeping techniques, hive management, and honey extraction processes.

The session aimed to educate personnel on beekeeping as a sustainable practice, encouraging them to explore it as an alternative source of income.
