'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' tree plantation campaign launched at High Court of Manipur

Imphal, August 23 2024: he High Court of Manipur in collaboration with the Forest Department organised a Tree Plantation Campaign under the theme, "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" at the premises of the High Courtof Manipur on Friday.

Justice Siddharth Mridul, Chief Justice, High Court of Manipur, inaugurated the campaign by planting a sapling in the Court complex and addressing the importance of protecting the environment & supporting green initiatives, said a release issued by the High Court.

Tree saplings were also planted by High Court of Manipur's Judges, Justice A Bimol Singh, Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu; Lenin Singh Hijam, Advocate General, Manipur; Ojesh Mutum, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur; S Brajabihari Singh, Chairman, Bar Council of Manipur and P Tomcha Singh, president, All Manipur Bar Association.

Officials of the High Court of Manipur and the Forest Department including Soreiphy Vashum, Additional PCCF; L Joykumar Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest T-I/II; Gaithaolu Thaimei, Conservator of Forest Western Circle; RK Amarjit Singh, Conservator, Central & Northern Circle and Sanajaoba Khuraijam, Conservator, Forest Southern Circle also took part in the tree plantation campaign.
