DC Jiribam distributes hardware equipments to PACS

Jiribam, July 23 2025:
In a significant step towards modernizing primary agricultural credit societies, Deputy Commissioner Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, IAS, distributed hardware equipment to eligible societies of Jiribam and Borobekra SubDivision today.
The distribution programme was held at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Jiribam, as part of the Computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India.
The programme was jointly organized by the District Cooperative Officer, Jiribam, and the District Administration, Jiribam.
The hardware equipment, including desktops, printers, biometric devices, UPSs, VPNs, tablets, and batteries, were distributed to five societies: Dibong GPL MPCS Ltd, Sorok Atingbi GPL MPCS Ltd, Sonapur GPL MPCS Ltd, Latingkhal GPL MPCS, and Borobekra-Jakuradhor GPL MPCS Ltd.
While distributing the equipment, DC Krishna Kumar advised the primary agricultural credit societies to use the equipment judiciously and efficiently, ensuring maximum benefit to their members.
The programme aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the societies, ultimately benefiting farmers and members.
The programme was attended by District Cooperative Officer, Jiribam, Md Nasir Khan, SDC/BO DC S Sitaranjit Singh and officials of the cooperative societies.
The initiative aims to bring about a significant improvement in the functioning of the primary agricultural credit societies, enabling them to provide better services to their members.
