CITY Club Heirok marks 51st foundation day

Thoubal, December 22 2025: The Chingdompok Ideal Top Youth Club (CITY Club), HeirokPt-II Litan Makhong, celebrated its 51st foundation day today at the club office with a series of programme reflecting its legacy and community commitment.

The morning session began with hoisting of the club flag by former rebel leader RK Meghen, followed by an interaction programme that included participation of COCOMI president Khuraijam Athouba.

Floral tributes were also paid to the portraits of the late founding members in remembrance of their contributions.

The evening programme held at the Club Ground was attended by several dignitaries, including CITY Club president Tonjam Romen Meitei; Heirok Zilla Parishad member M Rajamani; Heirok Pt II pradhan Th Premjit; Ward no 2 member N Sanatomba; CADA president Hijam Priyokumar; NIPCO advisor Sunil Karam; YN Construction proprietor Y Nanao Meitei; and Heirok Pt-II Litan Makhong Meira Paibi president N Angangcha Devi, who attended as presidium members.

As part of the programme, elders of the locality were presented with gifts donated by various individuals.

A minute's silence was also observed to pay homage to those who lost their lives in the ongoing ethnic violence.

Later in the day, the final match of the 9th Heirok Cup-2025, 9 A-side Men's Open Football Tournament was played.

The tournament, which began on November 25, featured 23 teams from across Heirok, divided into eight groups.In the final match played today, YBC Ngarouthel defeated DNNYC Devi Mandop by 2-0 to clinch the title.
