DMUSU clarifies

Imphal, November 21 2024: The Dhanamanjuri University Students' Union (DMUSU) has clarified that it has no connection whatsoever with the protest proposed to be held at DM College Campus on November 21, 2024, under the banner of "Apunba Maheiroi" .

In a release, DMUSU said that neither DMUSU or any of its association student unions/ bodies have any connection with the organisers of the protest which was planned on November 21 .

DMUSU also recounted similar cases of protest being planned at DM University Campus by some individuals/ groups and widely circulated on social media.

"However, when the time came for the protest, the organisers of the said protests were nowhere to be found, causing a lot of confusion & difficulties to the students", it added.

DMUSU lamented that such incidents led to the deployment of extra security forces in the area, severely affecting the academic atmosphere of DM University.

DMUSU maintained that DMUSU & its association student unions/ bodies have always notified the public especially the students through proper channels before organising any protest/ agitation.

Further, DMUSU appealed to all concerned to not repeat such acts which may affect the University's academic atmosphere and tranquillity in the future.
