3rd Anal Catholic women conference held in Chandel, new executive elected

Chandel, January 21 2026: The 3rd Anal Catholic Women Conference was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna, in Chandel district from January 16to 19,2026, under the theme "A women who fears the Lord is to be pleased", (Proverbs 31:30).The four-day conference witnessed the participation of over 500 women from eight churches under the Anal Catholic community, including Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lamphousana; St George Church, Lamphou Charu; St Thomas Catholic Church, Beru Anthi; St John Catholic Church, Y Khutha-Anal Khunou; Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Anal Khullen; Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Beru Unopat; Christ the King Church, Thungcheng; and Anal Community of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

The conference was graced by Most Rev Dr Neli Linus, DD Archbishop of Imphal, as main celebrant during the concluding Holy Mass on Sunday, during which 130 faithful received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

During the conference, new office bearers of the Anal Catholic Women Society were elected for three-year term (2026-208) .

Hl Hringve of St John's Church, Y/Khutha-Anal Khunou, was elected president, while Hl Thanihring and Bd Nohrin from the same church were chosen as secretary and information secretary respectively.

Ws Pewer of HTCC, Lamphousana, was elected vice-president while Bd Nohrin and Ps Pani from Sacred Heart Church, Beru Unopat, were elected finance secretary and joint secretary respectively.
