Over 100 students join Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at MU

More than 100 students registered for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 - Young Professional Roundtable held at the Senate Hall, Department of Earth Sciences, Manipur University, on Thursday.
Organised jointly by the NSS Cell, Manipur University and MY Bharat, Imphal West District under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, the programme aimed to promote leadership, civic responsibility and youth participation in nationbuilding towards Viksit Bharat 2047.The event began with the NSS song, Vande Mataram and the National Anthem.
Prof RK Hemakumar Singh, Vice Chancellor inCharge, Manipur University, attended as chief guest.
W Paulina Monsang, State Director, MY Bharat Manipur, presided, while Prof M Premjit Singh, Registrar, and Prof L Santosh Singh, NSS Programme Coordinator, were guests of honour.
Prof Hemakumar urged students to focus on gaining knowledge and values rather than prizes.
Prof Premjit said youth must act now on challenges like climate change and social injustice, noting that leadership lies in listening and consensus.
Panellists Dr Sapam Dilipkumar Singh and Prof N Bijen Meetei interacted with students on leadership and public responsibility.
Certificates were distributed to the participants at the end.
