Young Nat Sankirtan artists from Manipur to perform at 'Jackfruit 2026' in Bengaluru

Imphal, August 18 2026:
A team of 5 young artists of Shree Shree Govindaji's Nat Sankirtan, all below 13 years of age, reached Bengaluru today to participate in "Jackfruit 2026 - A Festival of Music by Children" .
The festival will be held from August 21 to 23, 2026 at the Prestige Centre for Performing Arts, Bengaluru.
Organised by Bhoomija and the Prestige Centre for Performing Arts in collaboration with the Indian Music Experience Museum, the event is being held under the direction of renowned musician Shubha Mudgal.
The festival aims to showcase young talent.
It will bring together exceptional young musicians below the age of 16 from different parts of India.
The Manipuri team is trained by Guru Meihoubam Seityaban Singh.
At the festival, the young artists will present Nat Sankirtan, Pung Cholom, Dhol Cholom and Langdeng Fusion, highlighting Manipur's rich traditional music and art forms.
Officials said the participation will provide a national platform for the State's young traditional artists to display their skills before a wider audience.
