Shumang Leela Festival enters 3rd day

Imphal, December 16 2024: The Shumang Leela Festival 2024 entered the third day at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal on Monday.

The festival is being jointly organised by Manipur State Shumang Leela Council and Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur, in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Today, two plays namely "Sana Khing Khing Khing Nganba" by Kangjabi Meitei Chanu Artistes cum Drama Association and "Laaklaroi Amuk Yeningjha" by Sangai Artistes' Association were showcased.

"Sana Khing Khing Khing Nganba" is written by Salam Shamungou Meitei and directed by Salam Ongbi Muktabsli.

N Bijayeti Leima, A Janat, S Bimola, S Helena, N Pumima, Kh Sana Mangang, M Pinky, S Eyel Leima, Janat and Peny were the cast members in the play.

Moreover, "Laaklaroi Amuk Yeningtha" is written by Tarachan Oinam and directed by Naba Wareppa with Iboyaima Khuman, Yengkhom Ingocha, Seityajit Chingtham, Kanta Yambem, Kebi Moirangcha, Sunil Myboy, James Heikrujam, Jagadish Hijam, Hemchand Haobijam and Yumnam Bikramjit as cast members.
