Kamjong, October 15 2026: A one-day awareness programme on wildlife conservation was held today at Nambashi Khunou in Kamjong district.

The programme was organised by environmental activist Jojo Robertson.

MC Worthing, former Director of the Ministry of Education; MC Ngaraiphang, Village Headman; Rev Thuimayon Kashung, Pastor of Nambashi Khunou Baptist Church and leaders of the village attended as the presidium members.

Speaking at the occasion, Jojo Robertson said wildlife faces threat from human activities such as hunting, trapping, poaching and developmental works.

These activities lead to scarcity of food, water, shelter, breeding grounds and disturbance in their natural migration routes.

'Together, let us protect nature and create a peaceful environment where humans and wildlife can coexist harmoniously', he said.
