12 hours total shutdown in Senapati ends peacefully

Senapati, September 15 2021: The 12 hour total shutdown in Senapati district called by the Senapati CSOs led by NPO concluded peacefully at 6 pm on Wednesday without any untoward incident.

The said total shutdown was imposed in support of the boycott call by All Tribal Students Union, Manipur (ATSUM) on "Go to Hills 2.0" .

Earlier, the district CSOs urged the State Government to convene a special Assembly session to table the HAC recommended ADC Bill 2021.It may be mentioned that ATSUM's call to boycott the State Government initiative "Go to Hills 2.0" is stated to continue until the ADC Bill, 2021 is tabled and Assembly Speaker's order is withdrawn with appropriate reason.

Moreover, Naga People's Organization (NPO) and district frontal organizations expressed their gratitude to the public of Senapati for their support and cooperation during the said 12 hours total shutdown.
