Third phase of Go To Village Mission concludes successfully

Imphal, May 15 2018: With an aim to bring about an inclusive development and uplift the villages across the State, the State Government had launched the Go To Village Mission recently.

The third phase of the mission was launched at different villages in districts across the State today.

Here are the highlights of the mission camps held across the State .

Thoubal: District Administration Thoubal organised the third phase of the Go To Village Mission at three different villages in the district- Thoubal Sabaltongba, Samram Mayai Leikai and Laiphrakpam Mayai Leikai.

Different departments opened their respective stalls at the sites and sensitised the people about various schemes of the Government.

Beneficiary cards of schemes including Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang' and Ujjwala schemes were presented to identified beneficiaries.

DC Thoubal district Haobam Rosita, BJP Thoubal district president L Deben, vice president of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Jadumani, members of the Panchayat, Councillors and many other officials attended the events.

Tamenglong: Tamei MLA Awongbou Newmai attended the third phase of the Go to Village Mission at Phaitol Village of Tamei Sub-Division, Tamenglong district today.

Awongbou Newmai, who attended the event as chief guest distributed gas cylinders and stoves to 82 beneficiaries of Phaitol village under Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojna.

Blankets, cotton seeds and ST certificates were also distributed to the villagers of Phaitol and nearby villages.

Under the Social Welfare Department, beneficiary forms of schemes- old age, widow and blind were also distributed.

CMO Tamenglong conducted a spot verification of the differently abled persons at the event and distributed certificates at the program.

DC Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame, ADC Magulong Ramningle, ADC Saramba Micah Panmei, ADC Tousem TP Sangzeu, ADC Khunphung Liangpibou, ADC Phaitol Harling and DLOs of different Govt Departments attended the programme.

About 1000 people participated in the programme.

Meanwhile, the Thadou Students Association Jiribam and Tamenglong Branch has expressed gratitude to DC Armstrong Pame for the mission.

The TSA further extended gratitude to MLA Awongbou Newmai, SDO Tousem Khupboi Aimol and all the staff and officials who participated in the mission.

Bishnupur: After addressing and delivering services to 6556 complaints of different natures in the 9 camps conducted earlier, the District Administration Bishnupur continued the mission at 3 camps-Irengbam, Khoijuman and Ikhai Mayai Leikai today.

Karam Shyam, Minister (CAF and PD), L Radhakishore Singh, MLA Oinam AC, Sanasam Bira Singh, MLA Kumbi AC and Nidhi Keshwani, Secy, PHED and Nodal Officer visited and inspected the camps.

A total of 27 Departments opened their stalls at the sites and deliver different services to the people.

Terming today's camps a grand success, Linda Ningombam, AC to DC, expressed her profound gratitude to all the participants and the staffs for their untiring and services.

Churachandpur: District Administration Churachandpur organised the camps today at Lanva (Lamka 12-Lanva DCC), ST Chullouphai (Tuibong 13-KholmuriDCC), Tuiringphaisen (Samulamlan 20-Sagang DCC), Misao Lhahvom (Saikot 22-Haopi Range DCC), Muallum (Singngat 23-Muallum DCC), Dongjang (21-Sangaikot DCC), Tuilaphai (3-Henglep DCC), Ngariyan (1-Khousabung DCC) and Sinzawl (Mualnuam 10-Tuivai DCC).

Sports and school materials, agricultural equipments like sprayers, garbage bags, wheelchairs, work order for construction of IHHL etc were distributed to selected beneficiaries at the camps by different departments such as Education, Social Welfare, Medical, PHED, PWD, ADCC, Banks etc.

The district Medical Department also conducted immunization and diabetes and hypertension screening camps.

Kangpokpi: Addressing the camps at Daili, Phyapou and Lower Kalapahar villages of Kangpokpi A/C, Kangpokpi district Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen stated that the mission -'Khungang Chatse - Go To Village' is a people-centric initiative of the State Government.

She distributed free LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) and inspected the stalls of different departments and banking institutions opened for public convenience at the camp sites.

The Gamps were organised by District Administration, Kangpokpi.

Tengnoupal: Moreh Sub-Division/ADC office organised the mission camp at Gamnom Veng, Moreh, Tengnoupal district Autonomous District Council Chandel presented GI sheets to victims of the recent fire incident at Moreh Ward No 3.Table lamps, textbooks for school children, beneficiary cards of Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang and free gas connections under Ujjwala scheme were presented to selected beneficiaries.

People at the event however resent the absence of officials of Food and Civil Supply.

Chairman of Autonomous District Council Chandel Lhunkhosei Zou, ADC Moreh N Bankim, SP Tengnoupal Dr S Ibomcha Singh, DSP CDO Moreh Thokchom Thomas Singh and leaders and representatives of various organisations in Moreh took part in the camp.

Chandel: The Go To Village programme was also conducted at Liwachangning village, Chandel Sub-Division.

The program was attended by vice chairman, ADC Chandel Th Ranjit, secretary, revenue; Dr Chinglenkhomba Meitei, ADC/ADM Chandel Kh Siddharth, SDO Chandel; SYED Abdul Samad, SDPO Chandel and Gautam, SDC, Chandel.

DLOs and staffs of various departments, village Chiefs and ADC members attended the programme.

Kits and other items of various departments were distributed to the beneficiaries.

Senapati: N Kayisii, Minister, Tribal Development arid Fisheries, Government of Manipur attended the mission at Lairouching Cluster (including Puni Pfosemai, Khongnem and Mao-Marafii) held at Lairouching Local Ground by various departments.

Village folks in hundreds visited the mission camp.

The local Minister urged the villagers to open bank accounts and enroll for Adhaar.

The Minister distributed one schemes for development of Small scale industries under the Tribal Development 3 Soil Health cards, two wheel chairs, a hearing aid, about 25 free gas cylinder sets, tree sapling and release order to the Villager for MGNREGS for three days.

Similar programmes were held at Koide Mathak for 47-Karong, the cluster including Koide Mathak and Koide Makha and Shajouba for 48-Mao, the cluster including Shajouba, Tabumei, Kaibi, Makhel and Robve Solophe.
