Imphal, December 14 2008: THE MILITARY Council (MC) faction of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has announced that it will seek further financial help from the people of Manipur.

Information and Public Relations Officer, Puranthaba of the KCP (MC) today stated in a press release that the party will seek further monetary help from the people as it needs to purchase essential items for the party.

With the financial support of the people, the Military Council has been able to open training centre, camp and mobile units, it stated.

The press release further stated that the KCP group of Hitendra which is said to have entered into talks with the Government of India at New Delhi is the one (Hitendra) who has been kicked out of the Military Council as he couldn't abide by its rules and has taken shelter at the AR camp at Yaingangpokpi.

The party had earlier informed the public about him.

The KCP (MC), instead of giving severe punishment, follows the example of expelling from the party some one who would harm the revolutionary movement, like removing the chaff from the rice, it stated.

Puranthaba further stated that Manipur DGP's statement regarding the killing of IFP junior sub-editor, Konsam Rishikanta that the KCP (MC) could have been involved in the incident is baseless.

The KCP (MC) respects the media and it has nothing to do with the killing of Rishikanta.

Moreover, the KCP (MC) has got nothing to do with the kidnap of Minister Parijat's son either, it stated.

It informed that a new camp of the KCP (MC) has been inaugurated on the day of Nupi Lan and prayed that the cadres of the party could cultivate the courage of selfless sacrifice of 'mothers'.

Regarding unification of the various factions of KCP, Puranthaba stated that the effect of factionalism has caused a great harm to the revolutionary movement and the society.

The painful effect of factionalism is being felt amonst the true revolutionaries.

However, leaving aside all these, the various factions must take the need of unification as essential, it stated.

Let alone fighting against India, Puranthaba stated, fighting the factors that stand against unification and making concerted efforts to bring a united movement must be the first struggle.

Or else, the dream of revolution will never come true.

The KCP (MC) will strive to achieve all these goals, Puranthaba's press release vowed.

It should be remembered that all the revolutionaries, despite their membership in different parties, are not of their parties alone but of the motherland, it stated.
