TSE scribe named for Journalist Award

Kharibam Yaiphaba Meitei, Sub-Editor at The Sangai Express has been named among seven journalists selected for the Manipur State Journalist Awards 2025 .
Kharibam Yaiphaba Meitei has been named for the Manipur State Journalist Award for reporting with special reference to women and children.
The other winners of the Manipur State Journalist Award 2025 are Sanasam Kritivas Singh (Sanaleibak) for reporting on Science & Technology, Dr Khaidem Athouba Meitei (Sanaleibak) for Parliamentary reporting, Thongam Boney Singh (Poknapham) for reporting on Art & Culture and Hemchandra Shagolsem (Sanaleibak) for reporting on Public Health & Hygiene, Aribam Robindro Sharma of Poknapham has been named for the best Editor award for writing on National integration and communal harmony.
No award will be conferred under the category of Rural Reporting for the year 2025 as per a unanimous decision of the panel of judges/selection committee which considered that the entry received was not worthy of recommendation for the award, said a press release issued by IPR Director Ngangom Uttam Singh.
It said that the awards will be handed over to the awardees during the observation of National Press Day 2025 at DIPR auditorium on November 16, 2025 at 9.30 am .
