MSF announces essay competition results, 10 students shortlisted for Martyrdom Day event

Jiribam, August 13 2026: The Manipur Students' Federation (MSF), Jiribam District Committee has announced the results of its first District-level Essay Writing Competition, with 10 students securing top positions and being selected to attend the XXII Students' Martyrdom Day-2026 on August 16.The essay competition was organised on July 26 at RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Babupura, Jiribam, with around 120 students from Classes VIII to XII participating.

The competition was held on the theme, "Pebam Chittaranjan: A Voice Against AFSPA" (Pebam Chittaranjan: AFSPA-gi Maiyok-ta Khollao Ama).

According to MSF, the competition was organised to familiarise student youths with the life, ideals, responsibilities and sacrifices associated with late Athouba Pebam Chittaranjan, whom the organisation described as a symbol of courage and resistance.

Khaidem Dhanraj Singh of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Class X, secured the first position, while N Priyalaxmi Devi of Cambridge English School, Class VIII, stood second.

Ph Mukhrasana of Highway English School, Class X, secured the third position.

The remaining seven students were placed in the consolation list They are L Bidyalaxmi Devi of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya (Class VHI), Mutum Bipasha Devi of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya (Class IX), L Genius Devi of Hill Cross English School (Class VII), Seileibam Rajeshree of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya (Class IX), Leiphrakpam Pinky Devi of Jiribam Hr Secondary School (Class XI), Mutum Alpana Chanu of Jiribam Hr Secondary School (Class XII) and Sinam Swety Devi of Jiribam Hr Secondary School (Class XII) .

The 10 shortlisted students have been asked to attend the XXII Students' Martyrdom Day-2026 at the Auditorium Hall of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Babupura, Jiribam, on August 16 .
